Abstract

We report on the first monitoring of the optical polarization for the gamma-ray loud NLSy1 galaxy J0948+0022 for the period covering 2011-12. Polarizations of >8% have been detected. We have investigated possible correlations between optical flux variations, variations in the polarization, variations in the position angle, and the gamma-ray flux for J0948+0022. The implications of these results for different emission mechanisms will be discussed.
