Abstract

I will explore the connection between the IR and the gamma-ray emission of the subsamples of TeV detected blazars. I will show that they lie in a distinct subregion of the WISE Gamma-ray Strip from which it is possible to extract new blazars candidates for TeV observations, and associate a low-energy counterpart to those TeV sources still unidentified. I will present the efficiency of this method to unveil the nature of two previously unidentified VERITAS sources, recently associated with high frequency peaked BL Lacs and how possible developments could be applied for other cases.
