A.S. Chepurnov, F.N. Nedeoglo, O.V. Novojilov, I.A. Jiltsov

Networked Control System, which is a system having one or more feedback loops closed via serial communication channel are discussed. An example of Networked Control System based on CAN-bus fieldbus, diskless PC running under Linux with real-time RTLinux extension and distributed controllers is presented in application for accelerator control. DeviceNet protocol software under Linux is used as CAN application layer which allows to use as off-the-shelf as home made components. Approaches how to simulate Networked Control System based on CAN-bus are presented and discussed.
