Tune measurements at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) are facilitated by a Phase-Lock-Loop (PLL) system [1]. The 720Hz output signals from the PLL are used to perform real-time tune feedback during injection, acceleration, beta*-squeeze, and storage. We describe the underlying principles and implementation, including interaction with the model driven ramp management. We show results from the commissioning, and operational experience with the system.
