We have built a 4-cell prototype Plane Wave Transformer (PWT) linac structure, similar to the one at UCLA. We discuss here details of the design and fabrication of the linac structure. We present results from GDFIDL simulations as well as cold-tests, which are in good agreement with each other. We also briefly discuss our plans for using this structure for a 30 MeV electron linac.
