The quadrupole magnets with a hollow coil made by using improved the periodic reverse electroforming method have been developed. They will be installed in the each drift tube of the DTL ( 324 MHz ) for the KEK/JAERI Joint Project for high-intensity proton accelerator facility. Because the magnet is operated under the pulse excitation mode, the magnet core is comprised of the stack of leaves of iron. The properties of the model magnet have been measued. The results of the measurement are consistent with the estimated values calculated using the computer code. The details of the design, fabrication method, and the measured results for the Q-magnet will be described.
