SLAC's Python/BaBar Page

This is the home of Python support and development at SLAC. At this point, it is very new and very spare. We expect to be developing content as needed.

There are a number of resources available to help developers and the curious learn and use Python. Note the sidebar for navigation. You will find much information from those sites. BaBar specific code and instruction is on the sidebar also. Follow those links and you will find tools to help you do your BaBar work.

There is also a SLAC Python mailing list, python-l. Please consider joining this list and adding suggests to the community of users.

  Python 2.3.3 is now the default version in /usr/local/bin at SLAC.
