Interaction Region Drawings and Specifications
IR Note 951211-R0

Drawing Numbers
SLAC drawing numbers are intended to follow the WBS number of
the system. For the Interaction Region, the numbers are organized
as shown below. Numbers can be "reserved" or "checked-out"
by signing up for blocks in the red notebook held by Joe Stieber.
However, numbers/drawings become "official" when they
are released through the PEP-II Design Supervisor (Nancy Palmer),
and put in the PEP-II and Document Control database.

Drawing Titles
To make the drawings easily identifiable in the PEP-II database,
the first line of the title block must be the sub-system designation.
For Interaction Region drawings, the relevant sub-systems titles
are:
1.3.0 PEP-II IR Top Assembly
1.3.1 PEP-II IR Magnets
1.3.4 PEP-II IR Vacuum
1.3.6 PEP-II IR Diagnostics
1.3.7 PEP-II IR Installation
1.3.8 PEP-II IR Alignment
1.3.9 PEP-II IR Supports
As is customary at SLAC, the second title line should be the next
assembly name for the third line part or assembly.
Drawing Sign-Offs and Release
In general, part drawings should be checked and approved by the relevant engineer, and sub-assembly drawings, special parts, and Technical Specifications also approved by the IR System Engineer (Martin Nordby).
Drawings and Technical Specifications must be released through the PEP-II Design Supervisor (Nancy Palmer) for entry into the PEP-II database and checking for format and general errors. They will then be forwarded to the SLAC Document Control Group for entry into the SLAC database and microfilming and reproduction.
Furthermore, Technical Specifications should be posted on the
PEP-II Server for informal electronic storage and retrieval.
