Change Backward demarcation cone angle to 30 degrees, about 500 mradians instead of 250 mradians. Hobey reviewed the many issues in the +-1 meter region. Transparencies are attached. Orders for Silicon must go out in July which freezes dimensions in the region. Roy gave an overview description of the Si vertex detector. Vertex detector needs rms temperature (in time) of 1 deg C. Average temperature around 25 deg C. (35 deg C is too hot). LBL Vertex detector drawings are available on WWW (World-Wide-Web). Action Items: 1. Resolve magnet block to vertex detector cone interference. Can cone be made bigger [Roy] can we cut into blocks.[Stan,Gordon] 2. Be beam pipe cooling. [Dieter,Tom] 3. B1/Q1 pump/BPM/space. [Martin, John S.] 4. 2 cm space near Be-SS joint in forward manifold. [Gordon] 5. B1 cooling with Synchrotron radiation inside block. [John H.,Mike] 6. Slope of Synchrotron mask plus Ta collar. [Mike, Roy] 7. Temperature effect on B1. [Hobey] 8. Support tube assembly sequence. Number and location of holes in support tube[Gordon] 9. B1 mechanical construction and Sm2Co17 trim pieces [] attachments: Transparencies, Bowden Memos 2/3/94, 6/7/94, 6/29/94 Next Meeting: 13:00 Friday 27 January 1995 in the Gold room.
