Field Uniformity Measurements.
These measurements are made using
the program HAR.
The magnets are first cycled 3 times between 100A and 950A.
The magnets are then ramped to current of 650A.
Measurements are then made of the Integral Bdl at 3 different
measuring coil locations.
a) Measuring coil centered along magnet length.
b) Measuring coil located 1 inch inside of center.
c) Measuring coil located 1 inch outside of center.
These measurements are then summarized in 3 files:
a) HARLOG.RU#Contains the raw measurements made with the
rotating coil. Both the reference magnet and
the magnet under test are included.
b) HARDAT.RU#Is a summary table of calculated results using
the data from HARLOG.RU#. This includes X-Cross
Calibrated Integrated Voltages, Ratio's to
Reference, Integral Bdl, and Transfer Function.
c) HARPLT.RU#Is a summary table specifically used for a
plotting routine used to examine the data after
a measurement is complete. This is just a
compressed summary of the data found in
HARDAT.RU#. It contains no headers,
titles, or explanations of what the data is.
