Instructions for Speakers at the SLAC Lattice Workshop ------------------------------------------------------ (1) Presentations: Duration: ~ 15-20 min + 15. min discussion The experimental presentations should contain a brief review of the latest experimental results and ongoing work. Important issues to be addressed are: o future prospects/projections for exp. results (next 1-2 years) o current exp. problems and limitations; where do we need help from the theory community? o questions/wish list for the theorists The theory presentations should contain a brief overview of the status of theoretical calculations and new developments. Again, some important issues to be addressed are: o prospects for theo. predictions in the near future o how should the experimentalist make best use of the theo. results? o suggestions for potential new measurements o questions/wish list for the experimentalists In order to link contributions to the agenda and make them available on the web, participants are asked to provide a .pdf or .ps file on the evening before the session (if possible) by either: 1. Sending a URL for the file to one of the organizers, 2. Sending the file via e-mail attachment to one of the organizers, or 3. Copying the file on a USB memory stick and hand it to one of the organizers. (2) "List of questions" and "list of reference material": We would like to provide both a "list of questions" (which should be included in the talks and discussed during the workshop) and a "list of reference material" for preparatory reading prior to the workshop. We would like to link these lists to the workshop web page as soon as possible to give everyone ample time to prepare for the workshop and to make it as productive as possible. Please try to send your lists to the organizers no later than September 12. For the experimental talk, a list of papers and a list of questions for the theorists will be prepared for each session by the corresponding BaBar analysis working groups. For the theory talks, it would be useful if each speaker could recommend a few (maybe 2-4) papers on recent theoretical results or useful background information in the context of the presentation. Also, if you have any questions/suggestions/requests for the experimentalists to think about before the workshop, please send them to the organizers.
