FAQ: How do I license my Objy 8 or newer test federation?
Starting from Objyectivity/DB 8.0 version, it's necessary to have runtime license for each federation. SLAC has site-wide license for our work, which is also shipped with Objectivity release if you install it at your institution. When you create your test FDB with BaBar software release using Objy 8 or newer, licensing is done automatically during gmake.load phase. However if you created your FDB with older release and want to switch to Objy 8 based release, you'll need to run simple command to license your federation.
To apply the license to your federation, do the following in your Objy 8 based test release dir:
srtpath
setboot
gmake database.license
