FAQ: How do I upgrade the schema?

You need to upgrade the schema when you switch your analysis to a release newer than the one used to create your federation. What you usually do is upgrade the schema of your federation to the newest reference schema:

srtpath
setboot
ooschemaupgrade -infile $BFROOT/Bdb/Reference/current/schema.dmp

However, the more legal way of upgrading the schema of your test federation is to use gmake in your test release dir:

srtpath
setboot
gmake database.schemaload
