L1 Simulation Readiness Review — draft charge

On 7 July 2005, gpdf circulated the following goals for the review:

This review should cover:
  - the status and schedule of the new code
  - an overview of its structure and function, including both code and
    configuration management issues (e.g., the use of the configuration
    and conditions databases, the means of switching between original
    and ZPD function, the interaction with background frame selection)
  - the results of testing of the simulation of the ZPD trigger and
    comparison to data
  - known differences between the old and new simulations of the
    original trigger, with comparisons to the Run 1-4 data and an
    assessment of the consequences of the differences for physics
    analysis
  - [the trigger group's] assessment of the readiness for deployment
  - a brief report from simulation management on the SP8 status and
    schedule, to put the situation in context
