Finder/Fitter → Decision Module Bus Format

There are 6 point-to-point 12-bit buses from the Finder/Fitters to the Decision Module. These buses carry two fitted tracks per clk4 tick in the following format:

So the basic information that the Decision Module has to work with per track is:

  • hitmap[9:0] (which superlayers have segments on the track)
  • curvature[7:0]
  • tanλ[7:0]
  • z0[7:0]
  • z0err[3:0]

The information is stored in the Fitter diagnostic memories at the output of each Fitter and the input of the Decision Module in the same order as it appears on the buses.
