TSFi/TSF GLINK scope test May/6/03
TSFi GLINK output Test points:
- CH2 (green) = TSFi TP7 CAV*
- CH3 (blue) = TSFi TP8 DAV*
- CH4 (red) = TSFi TP9 STRBOUT clock
Note: there is a mistake in TSFi test point labels. TP7 (TP8) is actually
CAV* (DAV*) while the board label had these two swapped.
Normal condition with DCH fiber connected:

New/Old TSFi Comparison:
New TSFi in DCH/DCT TSF crate
Old TSFi in ZPD test crate
Use old TSF on the receiving side in both cases, and the input is
from the DCH fiber via splitter to both. Examine the
CAV*,DAV*,STRBOUT signals as seen on the old TSF main board:
- DAV* probed at old TSF R93/R94 joint
- CAV* probed at old TSF U64 pin 5
- STRBOUT probed at old TSF U64 pin 3
Some of the DC levels for new TSFi traces below are shifted because
of some connection/probe anomaly. Test later again showed that the
DC levels for the new TSFi are the same as old TSFi.
CAV* signal:
- CH2 (green) = Old TSFi DAV*
- CH3 (blue) = New TSFi DAV*
- CH4 (red) = Old TSFi STRBOUT clock
DAV* signal:
- CH2 (green) = Old TSFi CAV*
- CH3 (blue) = New TSFi CAV*
- CH4 (red) = Old TSFi STRBOUT clock
STRBOUT signal:
- CH2 (green) = Old TSFi DAV*
- CH3 (blue) = New TSFi STRBOUT
- CH4 (red) = Old TSFi STRBOUT clock
