***** Read Carefully, Instructions May Change ***** ***** Updated 02.08.99 ***** ***** Updated 05.13.99 SP ***** Updated 05.23.99 SD After you check this package out, do: -> cd GltDisplay -> source copy_dump ( this will copy gltXtcDump to your area ) - Then you can make ntupes from the XTC file (or just dump out the TC information): -> gltXtcDump -n For making Ntuple output, it is recommended to name it as e.g. /tmp/babar-1234.rz with a run number indication in the file name which will be shown on the event display. If is not given, some TC header information is dumped on the screen. If is not given, and a -p option is added, the GLT TC data will be fulled dumped out on screen. - Then run PAW (pawX11 works fine) and execute macro "gltplot" to get GLT event display: PAW> exe gltplot by defaule =.rz , =1, =20, ==8 the pic/print in the PAW will actually print out all events displayed since the last exec gltplot. To make a print of a particular event, say event N, exec gltplot N N again to just display that event once then do a pic/print (otherwise the event number, IFR, trigger word displays in the PS print may not come out). Macro "glthist" will produce GLT histograms (options are all the same): PAW> exe glthist (to make histograms) PAW> exe glthist#inputs (displays phi maps of GLT inputs) PAW> exe glthist#blt (displays phi maps and time histories of BLT DAQ) PAW> exe glthist#emt (displays phi maps of EMT inputs to GLT) PAW> exe glthist#emttick (displays time history of EMT inputs to GLT) PAW> exe glthist#tick (displays time history of GLT inputs) PAW> exe glthist#counts (displays GLT object counts) PAW> exe glthist#raw (displays GLT Raw Lines) Macro "gltfmon" will produce GLT Fast Monitoring histograms (options are all the same): PAW> exe gltfmon (to make histograms) PAW> exe gltfmon#phimap (displays phi maps of GLT inputs) PAW> exe gltfmon#tick (displays time histories of GLT inputs) PAW> exe gltfmon#idaq (displays 2D summary of GLT IDAQ) PAW> exe gltfmon#counts (displays GLT object counts and timing) PAW> exe gltfmon#rawline (displays GLT Raw Lines and timing) *** Note: Currently PTD is shifted by 1 phi bin *and* BLT DAQ and GLT input B, A data is flipped (LSB is treated as MSB) --- obsolete --- *** Note: Hardware changed. GLT and DCT follow now same conventions. Software correction taken out since Apr/21/99 (Sibylle). *** P.S. Please do not modify code in the "gltdisplay" area. If you need something different, make your private copy, or ask me change it. Have fun! -Victor.
