EMT Tasks 24/07/04 ========= ======== o Set up an L1EmtDataK package for simulation in CM2. o Set up three monitoring tasks in L1TMon for general runs, namely - EMC-EMT check: needs EMC waveforms written out from the EMC ROMs (Matt Weaver) and code to check against the EMT tower sums (also Matt Weaver). - EMT internal check: compare inputs to outputs. This can be taken from L1EmtOep/L1EmtModelCheckApp - EMT-GLT check: compare EMT out to GLT in. This can be taken from L1EmtOep/L1EmtGltCheckApp o Data/MC threshold and efficiency comparisons. o Online improvements, namely - G-link data reduction - FEX speed improvement and - Output TC size reduction. The first can be done by reducing the bits set in the Fx data. The other two can be done by only allowing data output for every Nth event, i.e. FEX suppression. The code to do this exists, but needs to be controllable through the configuration. o Downstream offline effects of FEX suppression. Correct any efficiencies. monitoring, checking programs, etc. Check for problems with the L1EmtGltDigi missing in the event (which indicates FEX suppression).
