Level 3 Trigger TestStand Readiness
The following tasks completed can be compared to the list of goals stated in our October goals document.
- Level 3 tools, L3Dch and L3Emt have been adapted to run off Tagged Containers (TC's)
- L3 code executable development
- offline package which uses MC Truth is in development
- shared memory version which runs in OEP and uses L3Dch and L3Emt is ready
- Prescale implementation should be available from OEP on 10/15/98
- TrgConfig parser with Grocery List is ready for incorporation into Online
- Production of first true L3 Online should occur within a week
- Work on L3 diagnostics package is proceeding
- Cosmic-ray tracking tool still under development - estimate 3 weeks for completion
- L1 fiducial tests in development - several have been produced already
Goals for Cosmic-Ray Run
- verify appropriate configuration of trigger and OEP lines using the L3-OEP scheme
Note: this means doing configuration of GLT, L3, and OEP from TrgConfig
- test L1-L3-OEP integration during real data-taking
- classify events with ``good" tracks
- using appropriate code for finding tracks far removed from the IP (under development now)
- isolate a track sample of non-vertical cosmic ray tracks
