Level 3 Trigger TestStand Readiness

The following tasks completed can be compared to the list of goals stated in our October goals document.
  1. Level 3 tools, L3Dch and L3Emt have been adapted to run off Tagged Containers (TC's)
  2. L3 code executable development
    1. offline package which uses MC Truth is in development
    2. shared memory version which runs in OEP and uses L3Dch and L3Emt is ready
  3. Prescale implementation should be available from OEP on 10/15/98
  4. TrgConfig parser with Grocery List is ready for incorporation into Online
  5. Production of first true L3 Online should occur within a week
  6. Work on L3 diagnostics package is proceeding
  7. Cosmic-ray tracking tool still under development - estimate 3 weeks for completion
  8. L1 fiducial tests in development - several have been produced already

Goals for Cosmic-Ray Run

  1. verify appropriate configuration of trigger and OEP lines using the L3-OEP scheme
    Note: this means doing configuration of GLT, L3, and OEP from TrgConfig
  2. test L1-L3-OEP integration during real data-taking
  3. classify events with ``good" tracks
    1. using appropriate code for finding tracks far removed from the IP (under development now)
    2. isolate a track sample of non-vertical cosmic ray tracks
