Answer to questions about L1 Time and Fast Control ================================================== Tue, 07 Apr 1998 14:52:12 -0700 (PDT Leonid Sapozhnikov At the beginning of experiment DFS will set time base (Wall Clock time) which clocked by 60MHz system clock. After this Wall Clock time just incremented over time. Each command which is sent by FCTS will have time stamp of Wall Clock, it is true also for L1Accept command. The Wall Clock Time stamp for any command will be latched right before command is ready to be sent from FCPM. Time clock will be reseted every time when you power FCTM Master Crate. Preset value is unique every time and reflect time current - time of beginning of experiment. You can reset Wall Clock At any other time when you need it however it should be done under strict DFS control. SYNC is generated when any subsystem require to sync internal counter. Effect of the sync should be non distractive. It is mean that if subsystem counters are in sync from the previous Sync command effect of the new sync should be invisible to subsytem. I think all buffer should cleared by clear readout command. Leonid, x2002
