L1Sim (February 1998)

Package L1Sim provides overall control of the L1 trigger simulation. It contains general instructions and an AppUserBuild for a standard L1 simulation job. In addition, it contains Framework sequences for running the simulation and for making the L1 Digis.

Trigger packages have 25,000 lines of C++ and 35,000 lines of F77.

QA/QC and L3 Mixing jobs are done from this package.

Needed from others:

  • Design of sequences for simulation and reconstruction, which may affect our existing sequences (Bob Jacobsen)

Work to be done:

  • Integrate the new L1EmtSim into L1SimApp and the sequences, replacing trgEM
  • Integrate all the persistent DigiP's into the L1SimApp example job.
  • Event displays using standard BaBar tools (a student project!)

Manpower needed:

  • Level 1 as a whole needs people to do QA/QC and Global L1 studies
  • Level 3 needs people for algorithm implementations
