gntrol status (Fred Kral) July 1996
Overview
gntrol is a BBSIM package written in FORTRAN 77 to model the Level 1 trigger for the TDR. Includes gnmisc/kumac/trol event displays and other PAW calculations.
Status
gntrol has been superceded by trgDC, trgEM and trgFrame. Very few modifications in code since TDR, mostly to provide an ascii interface into trgDC and trgEM before the dbio .xdr interface was built.
Modifications during 1996:
- Fixes to make trgDC ascii file creation more convenient during MC production jobs.
- Turn off calorimeter trigger and ascii file creation since gntrol calorimeter code is not updated to use latest gnemca geometry structure.
Contains about 9,000 lines of F77 code.
Last tested with SRT release 1.0.3.
Plans
Keep the drift chamber trigger code alive since it is a quick test on the gndcha code (test job provided in gnbase as documented off Trigger and Simulation web pages). It also provides a drift chamber triggered event count summary that has proven useful
to monitoring production job quality.
Manpower
Fred Kral, package coordinator, developer and user
Neil Dyce, developer
Needs from other parts of simulation
None.
SRT integration
Has been part of BBSIM for two years and was part of original SRT release. |
