Some progress on the MIP efficiency study which can be reported at todays
meeting.  It appears that the drop in the MIP efficiecny in the EMT which I
presented in March was not necessarily time related.  In fact there appears
to be a negative correlation between MIP efficiency and L1 rate suggesting
this may be background related.  To confirm this I will compare two runs
with similar rates from the two different time periods. If this shows no
change over time then I will look in more detail at higher rate runs to see
how the background affects the EMT alogorithm. This should explain why we
see an efficiency drop.  I'll report this in more detail at the
collaboration meeting trigger parallel next week.
