Action items, nonstandard connections, and known problems
as of April 10th, 2006
- Action Items - next access:
- Reinstall Avalanche LV readout board after modification. No power supply LV readback until then. LV currents are still operational.
- Nonstandard Connections:
High Voltage:
- The following previously sparking chambers no longer have individual current readout. They have been connected via HV reversing extensions and individual long haul cables to a positive supply in the EH. The supply voltage is on the nominal ground side while the E field direction is kept the same by using an opposite polarity HV
- RPC ID---------Cable--- High Voltage Splitter---HV channel
- FE_6TU-----------E16-----------------81a------------5-5
- FW_2BL-----BF07-Pwr7-----------------81b------------5-5
- FW_6TU-----BF07-Pwr3--------------direct------------5-7
-
The chambers connected to Crate 4, channel #9_A have been temporarily moved to Crate 5, channel #2_A in order to check if the frequent trips which affect Crate 4, channels #9_A and #9_B are due to some problems on PS4.
Gas:
- The gas outputs from 2 chambers(FEM-5 and FEM-7) have been connected to gaslines which go to the EH for Fluorine tests.
The EPICs displays for these channels will be zero.
- The gas inputs for the 3 avalanche RPCs are provided by a distribution box on the lower east door.FEM 1,3,5 are connected to channels 9,10,11. The avalanche RPC outputs are in the nominal locations(except for the above note).
- Known Problems:
- The following forward endcap RPCs are known not to bubble.
- FWT-12,13,14,FWM5,7,9,14,FWB16
- FEM 4,5,6,7,15,FET14,16
- FEbelt_1LLB,FEbelt_2LUB
