Web Page for the EMC Configuation Database
This page contains information about the EMC Configuaration database.
Below is a sample applet which contains a model of the Barrel. The database is organized as a Hierarchy using a tag based on the physical detector elements as the key, and the organization of the Hierarchy. The Hierarchy is Crate:Slot:Fibre:Channel
where crate selects a VME crate, Slot selects the Untriggered PC, Fibre is the Fibre number for that Slot, and Channel is the Channel on that Fibre.
The data can also be accessed by theta/phi of the crystal number, and the database contains all the information about the neighboring relationships between crystals/fibres/adbs etc...
To try the database, click on the button below (if your browser supports applets!). This will bring up a new database window which has a menu to allow you to Select the Channel you are interested either by Tag, or by Crystal (theta/phi). The Select
menu will then bring up a small dialog in which you can try various keys to the database using the lookup button, once you have chosen the channel you are interested in, chose the Select button.
At the moment, the display doesn't show much, but it does contain information about the neighborss, and will soon have an active map. Comments to J.Nash@ic.ac.uk.
