SIMULATION  SCHEDULE

Open questions (deadline September 1997)

  • Geometry (DchSimGeom) [E. Lamanna, M. Posocco, S. Rahatlou] :
    • Update Drift Chamber material; (E. Lamanna)
    • Spead Up the code using only one step in the cell; (E. Lamanna)
    • Multiple Scattering in the wires switched on; (E. Lamanna, S. Rahatlou)
    • Low momentum particles < 2 MeV to be introduced; (E. Lamanna)
    • More Realistic dE/dx considering experimental results; (M. Posocco)
    • Internal check of DchSimGeom; (S. Rahatlou)
  • Digitization (Who ?) [Maryland]:
    • Make DchSim operative;
    • Improving merging of hits;
    • Fully-functional new-style digis , well-defined access to GHits;

    Cell study to extract Distance to Time and Time to  distance conversion;(G. Sciolla,S. Wagner, R.K. Yamamoto)



    Open questions (deadline December 1997)


  • Geometry:
    • Use of same geometry Data Base for simulation and reconstruction; (E. Lamanna, R. Stroili)
    • Migration from Geant3 to Geant4, fast Monte Carlo parameterization; (C. Dellapiccola, D. Fong, A. Hasan, E. Lamanna, M. Posocco, C. Perri)
    • Introduction of cell geometry inefficiencies and sagitta for wires; (E. Lamanna, M. Posocco)
  • Digitization:
    • dE/dx response including cell edge effects (M. Posocco);
    • Background implementation;
    • Cell correlation response due to induced charge, and Electronics;
    • Electronics response study and interaction with Electronics & Online group.
  • Quality check of full chain [S. Rahatlou,.....]:
    • Simulation
    • Digitization
    • Reconstruction
    • Track finding
    • Track fit
    • Vertex fit
    • Invariant mass .
