Dataflow software is responsible for communication with the front-end electronics, read-out of event data, feature extraction, and transmission of feature-extracted data to the unix farm.
The primary task of online calibration is to perform a fast calibration within the two minutes available between detector runs. The derived constants must then be stored in the database.
OEP code runs on the Unix side of the DAQ system. The primary task here is fast monitoring of the DCH performance and quality assurance for the data.
