  Shifter Panel

(updated Nov 2004)

The Shifter panel
Concentration of C4H10 (Isobutane):

2 numbers are given :
the raw value on the display of the analyser and the value corrected for the variations of atmospheric pressure that affects the measure of the apparatus (this last number indicate the actual C4H10 concentration and is relevant for the shifters).

Concentration of Oxygen

Concentration of Water

Current sampling point:
It corresponds to different point on the gas system to analyse the gas. Possible locations are: input/output point of the DCH, circulation loop, fresh gas, He and C4H10 input points.

In normal running mode  the quality of the mixture at the  output point of the DCH
can trigger an alarm of the system (this point is the one that is analysed most of the time).

Atmospheric Pressure value, and the relative DCH overpressure (~ 4 mbars)

Access to HAD and humidity panels:
These panels display
the readout of the
2 HADs sensors that analyse the content of C4H10 present in the forward and backward bulhead of the DCH. There is also a panel that allows to check the relative humidity in the bulkheads.

Check the status of the restart of the gas system:
See here for more details on this point.
