Environmental Sensors Monitoring

                                                                    (updated May 4th  1999)

For any questions, or details contact : Vincent Tisserand (Annecy IN2P3) or
         Hassan Jawahery (University of Maryland).

For the Hardware part at Maryland : Rob Bard or at SLAC : Dave Nelson or John Dusatko.
For General questions related to DCH slow control : Mauro Morandin (INFN Padova).
For Others questions about the EPICS programming of this application :
Fulvio Galeazzi (INFN Padova) or Chris Brown (University of Victoria).
and also  Jim Olsen (University of Maryland) the second expert for the system !

1 . the official EPICS naming convention for the sensors and micro-controller address Map

The readout of the sensors is done from ADCs scanning the sensors and read by micro-controllers that are daisy-chained and transmission is done through a CANbus cable and received on a VME Board of a VME 177 crate and monitored with the EPICS software.

It is forseen to equip the different Quadrants of the Rear Endplate of the DCH by micro-controllers with station number 27, 25, 28 and 29 (respectivly for quadrants 0, 1, 2 and 3) and the micro-controller for the Forward Endplate monitoring has station number 24.

3. Presentation 14 july 1998 (status and overview) actual current status : software available for use and yes it's running (precise location of sensors in the FEA boxes has sitll to be checked ...)  and also presentation of 29 October 1998.
4. How to have the software Running ? (some tricks and ways to proceed for the common users)

very old documentation written for 1998 data taking and Winter cosmics runs !!!!
5. Experience from LAB August Cosmics Run

6. The Latest documentation for BaBar data taking with PEP II
