EMC Monitoring: Archiver

V00-02 Jan 11 2000

  • Archiver tool

  • This is the easiest way to look at trace plots from the monitored quantities. Since we still don;t have an EMC account, the trace plot program resides in my own top directory. To run the program, just click on the "plot" button from the EMC main panel.

The program is self explanatory. First select the group of plots you want to look at, then select the time interval and then push the "GO" button. A request file is created and is given as input to OdcNtupleMaker, a program that retrieves the ambient data from the Ir-2 database and produces an ntuple. In the last step the Ntuple is read using PAW and a standard set of trace plot is created. The result is saved in a postscript file called paw.ps (I know it's not a very useful name) sitting in /nfs/bbr-srv01/u1/babar/boot/apps/emc-mon-131/archiver. This is the directory you will be in when you quit PAW.
