Introduction

Table I summarizes the ntuples produced from the January 27, 2004 background characterization data using PepBkgXtcApp from the PepBkgMon package on platform Linux24RH72_i386_gcc2953.

Notes on running conditions:

  1. Some high background at start of run (tunes). It may help to discard first 2 min.
  2. Transverse instability of LER. Point probably not good.
  3. Tunes may not be quite optimum yet. Treat with caution. See full MCC log above for details.
  4. During data taking, noticed a step and a spike in DCH current. There was also a loss of charge in the first 20% of the HER bunch train. Probably usable up to DCH current step only (20:16).
  5. HER somewhat unstable (transversely) at maximum current. There may be extra background caused by this instability. Probably not usable.

Notes on processing:

  1. Skipped events 127571 and 127572 due to a null pointer _maxContig in TrkDchHitAdd/TrkDchPRGElement::cacheForBranch
  2. Number of events in run 44268 seems inordinately large given the run time
