Trigger rate and deadtime
The plot shows the total deadtime for the last two weeks.
The total deadtime is the sum of three components: full deadtime, busy deadtime
and inhibit deadtime.
- The busy deadtime is proportional to the L1 trigger rate (we have 2.7 us irreducible deadtime per L1accept).
- The full deadtime occurs when the DAQ system is unable to keep up with the L1 trigger.
- The inhibit deadtime is due to the % of L1accept that we inhibit because of the trickle
injection window
Also shown is the L1 trigger rate vs luminosity for the previous week (in blue)
and for the current week (in red).
The purple line shows the situation at the end of Run 5b.
On the right y axis, is shown the busy deadtime.
