SIAM Default Guidance

Specific SIAM Channel Page is not availible for this channel.

Contact the administrator for the specific detector system for more information, and refer to the BaBar Operations Web Page .

Steps to create web pages

  1. Create an http directory in your application area.
  2. Using the S and NAME variables from your card0_chname.tmpl, create pages for $(S)$(NAME).html for each of your channels. The guidance button will automatically find it.
  3. Try to include a link to the BaBar Operations Web Page: ../../all/http/care/care.html

The guidance buttons attempt to bring up a small and fast-loading web browser, Chimera, with the page /nfs/bbr-srv01/u1/babar/boot/apps/$(H)/http/$(S)$(Nx).html. For example, if I called the display with H=siam and S=CEN:SIAMS and N0=:SIAM_1:CH_0:, then it would attempt to bring up the page /nfs/bbr-srv01/u1/babar/boot/apps/siam/http/CEN:SIAMS:SIAM_1:CH_0:.html. If it does not find the page, it will default to the SIAM default page.

Note: Chimera, the web viewer that we are using is restricted to no frames and gifs. It cannot handle jpegs but should be able to do tables. We are using Chimera 1.70 because it loads faster than Netscape and can have multiple instances.
