BABAR Online Calibration
The Online Calibration effort is primarily focused on the category of calibrations to be performed under dedicated running conditions with controlled stimuli provided to detector subsystems. These calibrations will be carried out in a combination of
the DataFlow and Online Event Processing (OEP) subsystems of the online.
Some of the work in progress is also relevant to other online calibration issues, such as calibrations using normal physics data performed in the online upstream of Prompt Reconstruction, and even calibrations performed in Prompt Reconstruction or
"offline" if their results are required to be fed back upstream into the online (e.g., constants used in the Level 3 trigger).
The focus of this page at this time is the preparation for online calibration operations under Online Test Stand Release 3 in early 1998 using the software framework described below. As the software is further developed and refined, updates will be
made available on this page. Please watch the Calibration HyperNews group for announcements.

- The phone meeting is hosted by SLAC. Participants may attend in person in room G104 on the "BaBar computing corridor" in the Central Lab, or by dialing in to +1-415-926-3516. The meeting will begin at 08:30 PDT and last about an hour.
Activities at the collaboration meeting in Bristol, 21 July 1997
- Status talk, Electronics/Computing - DataFlow mini-plenary (transparencies by DB, given by gpdf)
- The 22 July mini-plenary session produced an agreement to hold rotating online phone meetings open to the subsystems on Thursday mornings (08:30-10:00 Pacific time), beginning 31 July 1997. Calibration will be a periodic focus of these meetings, and
will in particular be the topic of the first one.
