The production directory tree

Overview of the present organization of the prod/ area:

The production area is at $BFROOT/prod.
prod/SimProd
the CVS module used to distribute the production system components
   needed by production sites.
prod/mgr
production scripts: bbprod, buildRuns, defineRuns, etc.
prod/local
   place to keep local customizations
prod/log/allruns
job files autogenerated by defineRuns/buildRuns, in
   individual run directories.
prod/log/out
   log outputs from production jobs
prod/log/status
run status files for monitoring job execution
prod/log/bin

with notes on how they were built.
prod/data/...
   data areas
prod/bin/$BFARCH/
production versions of BBSIM executables, eg. bbsimb0.6.3.exe, gnbabar0.6.3
These are the executables actually run in production. They should be
copied from the master copy for each platform. Master copies are
built, with debug off, at Colorado for OSF, SLAC for IBM, and
IN2P3 for HP. Masters are archived at SLAC in prod/log/bin/
prod/bbsimX.X.X
SRT 'newrel -t...' directories used to build production executables
prod/doc
documentation area. Documentation is all available in the production
area of the simulation web page.
prod/requests/trg
OBSOLETE Masters for trigger production. Masters are now taken from
   SimProd/requests/
prod/src
OBSOLETE production programs (eg. yertle), now in SimProd/src
