Connecting to Monday Common Reco meetings
- Time: 8:30 - 10:00 Pacific (SLAC) time.
- The meeting room at SLAC is the Group C Conference Room.
- To connect your site to the meeting dial in to the conference center
at (1) 973-321-2000, and enter 116847# as the security code, or ask
for the BaBar/SLAC reconstruction meeting if the code doesn't work.
- April 1999 Software Workshop: Reco section. Presentations.
- Feburary 1999 Reconstruction Workshop at SLAC, Training Center A/B. Agenda.
Massimo Marino's dependency analysis is on the web. A link is also available under
Documentation below.
- The goals for MDC2 have been summarized on the Reconstruction Task List.
- A page describes the tags in reco production executables. The goal remains to directly use releases from the release team, but given our currently high change rate, we need
to build "intermediate" releases for the production team to run. These will be documented on this page.
- Each of the four main areas of the common code has a short summary page. These are not really kept up to date.
See also the pages for the specific systems: SVT, DC, DIRC, EMC, IFR.
- The BaBar discussion system contains active discussions on a number of topics. It is also used to hold minutes of meetings and similar items of long term interest.
You can (and should) subscribe to the reconstruction discussions of interest so that items are directly emailed to you. Note that you will need the common account name and password to access it - ask a collaborator for it.
- Coming events of interest to people working on reconstruction code. This also lists the schedule of coming meetings and their normal timeslots. Events are
announced in the RecoSoft BFMAIL list, and we encourage you to subscribe.
- Standard classes for use in reconstruction code are listed on a summary page. There is also a Design & Code Checklist. It's a "lessons learned" document, based on experiences reading code and containing the results of various discussions. It is still very much under
construction as we learn more about what we are doing.
- The goals for MDC2 have been summarized on the Reconstruction Task List. Many of these items contain projects where people could make a real contribution. Please take a
look; there are things at all levels of difficulty and to match any available time. This is not updated sufficiently often, and you should directly contact people working in areas of interest to you.
- The Beta reconstruction & analysis tool kit is available for development use. Although a high rate of change must be expected through the fall of 1998, it is quite functional. Primary documentation is on the Web. Unfortunately, the Beta page is hard to keep up to date; more recent information is usually posted to the analysis tools Hypernews group.
- A running log of all CVS commit messages can be found in the CVSNEWS BfMail group, which can also be searched through the forms interface. This and additional information on software status can be found on the BABAR software administration
page.
- There are a number of reconstruction applications available. The architecture is described in the draft Reconstruction Notes 1 and 3, found in the Documentation section of this page.
- Tracking reconstruction meetings are biweekly. The meeting announcements are available in the RecoSoft BFMAIL list, minutes are in the tracking
reconstruction discussion group and background information is on the tracking reconstruction summary page.
- A page describing the reconstruction workshop on July 10 and 11, 1998 is available.
- A page on the reconstruction minireview on March 30, 1998 is available.
- A page describing the reconstruction workshop on February 27 and 28, 1998 is available.
- Nov 14 and 15, 1997 reconstruction workshop
- Sept 29, 1997 reconstruction minireview
- June 23 and 24, 1997 LAL Orsay reconstruction workshop and scanned slides.
- May 8, 1997 reconstruction workshop
- April 1998 reconstruction mini-review
- Feb 1997 reconstruction workshop
- slides presented to the Computing Advisory Committee in December of 1996, including Bob's
reconstruction slides.
- The slides for Bob's plenary talk on "Applying software engineering at Babar" at the '96 AIHENP conference are available, as is the paper for the proceedings paper for the proceedings. An updated version of the talk was given at CERN in November, 1996.
- The slides from the reconstruction and simulation presentation to the BaBar Technical Review (June 1 1996 at SLAC) are available (86k 30 pages .ps).
- The reconstruction software review took place on April 12 and 13, 1996 at SLAC. This was a formal review of the status and plans of the reconstruction software, and was
our biggest event of the spring. The report of the committee is available (9 pages, 91K .ps).
- The third software workshop took place in January 1996 at Ecole Polytechnique, Paris. This was a two day joint meeting with Simulation. Summaries and
some of the slides are available.
- The second software workshop was a four day joint meeting with Simulation December 6 through 10 1996 at SLAC. The slides and a summary are available.
- The first software workshop was October 23 to 28 1996 in Genoa. Some of the slides presented are available on the summary page.
