[What is MocaEspresso?] [Installation] [How to use MocaEspresso] [Configuration file]

What is MocaEspresso?

MocaEspresso is a tool that performs an automatic export of the databases created during Montecarlo production.
This tool is able to extract these files from the Objectivity database while the production is running and transfer them to a remote site.

  • an incremental extraction of the databases is performed: the main program checks periodically for closed databases using the “BdbDistBrowser –filled” command

  • if one or more are found, MocaEspresso spawns BdbDistCenter which extracts them

  • as soon as a DB file is extracted, it is transferred to SLAC

  • extraction and transfer are handled by two processes which work in parallel and asynchronously

MocaEspresso can also transfer XDR and LOG files to SLAC, storing them on HPSS.
