BaBar Histogramming

Information about BaBar's histogramming packages

  • HepTuple is an abstract package. Hippo has been removed and HBook has been moved to a separate package, HbkTuple.
  • HbkTuple is an implementation of HepTuple that uses HBook. It produces HBook files as output, which may be viewed using PAW.
  • Distributed Histogramming is available through the DhpTuple and DhpDistHist packages. DhpTuple is a C++ implementation of HepTuple that is intended to be used for online distributed histogramming. DhpDistHist provides distribution mechanisms that work using DhpTuple.
