Conditions federations have to be updated to make new values available. Updating is done by loading a new snapshot that is provided by SLAC into a conditions FDB. The frequency of the update depends on the federation it self and on the data for which the federation is used.
cond14boot and cond16boot are frozen and updates are needed very infrequently and should be done only after a an update is announced.
Cond18boot should be updated frequently. At SLAC cond18boot is updated daily because new data are acessible on a daily bases. For remote sites the update frequently is less and tuypically once a week is sufficient. The goal of the update is to ensure that the conditions available are the once that were used in during the reconstruction (PR). Because there is typically a time lag of st least a week between collections procressed in PR, declared as good, skimmed and skims (or AllEvents) exported to a remote side the conditions have to be updated only onces a week or even less.
