BaBar Computing Steering Committee

What is it?

The committee has two main functions:

  1. Steering the contributions of the Tier-A centers on the basis of a detailed BaBar computing resource model; advising the International Finance Committee on the financial value and effectiveness of these contributions;
  2. Advising BaBar management on computing issues that impact the requirements for computing resources and the efficiency of their exploitation.

For more details, see the Revised Charge (pdf) approved by the IFC at the June '04 meeting.

The old charge can be found here.
