Working Group 9
Overall Unitarity Triangle Sensitivity

Theorist Conveners: Ben Grinstein , Yossi Nir
Experimentalist Conveners: Gerald Eigen, Marie-Helene Schune

This section will require input from all the above groups. As an initial project it will review current limits and any improvements possible from expected new non-B-physics inputs.
  • Overall determination of CKM matrix elements, using all the above and non-B physics (\epsilon_K, \epsilon'_K, rare kaon decays.)
  • How well will we need to measure sin(2\beta), sin(2\alpha) etc. before we can falsify the SM (under various scenarios)?
  • How much luminosity etc. will this need?
  • What limits can be set on Beyond-Standard-Model physics if measurements agree with SM predictions.
  • Agenda for Princeton

    - means not studied in any other group. We have also to think about non standard models : would some inconsticency in the Unitarity triangle be compatible with other observables such as rare B decays?
